Preparing an organisation PAN request
Companies, firms, trusts and societies follow a different path from individuals. Here is how to prepare as a representative.
Quick answer
Entity PAN requests differ from individual applications. Expect to need evidence of the entity's formation or registration, its address, and the representative's details and authority. CAREALL first qualifies the entity type and request.
Entity requests are different
An organisation is not an individual, so its PAN request follows a different path. Do not use an individual-only route for a company, firm, trust, society or other entity.
What representatives generally prepare
Preparation categories generally include:
- Formation or registration evidence for the entity;
- Address evidence for the organisation;
- Representative details, and evidence that you are authorised to act for the entity;
- for corrections or related work, the existing entity PAN details, shared only when CAREALL asks through an approved route.
Requirements vary by entity type and follow current official guidance.
Qualification comes first
CAREALL first confirms whether the entity type and your request (new, correction or related work) are within its supported scope. Only then does it explain what is needed.
Common pitfalls
- The entity name does not match its registration records.
- The representative’s authority is unclear.
- An entity request goes through an individual route.
